Sr. Business Analyst Claims
Sr. Business Analyst Claims – Specialty Program Group Canada
The Sr. Business Analyst plays a key role in ensuring customer needs are understood, defined, and executed through successful technology and process solutions. This experienced contributor is expected to develop trusted partnerships with business leaders and provide variety of business analysis capabilities that contribute to the design and delivery of technology enabled business solutions, including process re-engineering, gap analysis, and requirements definition. Work with the business functions to simplify, standardize, automate, and share operational processes and workflows, through an ongoing learning and development loop of operationalizing, optimizing, and transforming. This key role will establish trust through relationship building and collaboration, both within IT and business functions. A candidate must rely on experience and judgment to manage and accomplish the goals of multiple strategic and operational initiatives concurrently. A wide degree of creativity and latitude to achieve these goals is expected.
Priorities for the role include:
- Determine operational objectives by interacting with the business stakeholders and studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
- Manage and execute the creation and delivery of strong business requirements and functional requirements
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Articulate business needs to document current state processes and support the documentation and implementation of new operational processes
- Facilitate requirements elicitation; capture requirements in formal deliverables; prioritize; document user stories, build and manage backlogs
- Responsible for understanding the project design, maintaining required artifacts to create an implementation plan and put it into practice
- Present to variety of audiences, including executives, project teams, vendors, customer
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Work with the Business Relationship Manager to define the business case (Scope) and Charter
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
- Identify impact of changes to the affected users, current workflows, and external business environment (i.e. MGA & TPA Systems, Enterprise Applications).
- Provide for and/or participate in user training in various functional organizations as required.
- Develop system and functional verification tests for upgrades and updates; coordinates user acceptance testing; reviews test results with users and obtains user approvals.
- Perform in an agile environment and actively engage in scrum cadence activities, to include ceremonies, story grooming, PI Planning, testing activities, and building training materials and other additional support activities for various projects.
- Harvest as-is business performance according to approved methodology and perform process analysis of as-is and formulation of to-be business processes.
- Standardize and optimize current processes to enable them for process automation, digital initiatives, system deployments, new products etc.
- Connect process efforts to other key initiatives (Digital, Claims Technology, etc.) to ensure broader strategic alignment.

Qualifications:
- 6+ Years of experience directly working as a B.A., facilitating requirements sessions with business stakeholders, documenting user stories, prioritizing features backlog; etc.

Claims Accounting Assistant

JOB OVERVIEW:
Cansure Claims is currently looking for a Claims Accounting Assistant to join the team. This role is responsible for receiving and processing new claim loss notices and working with the Underwriting department to confirm policy details and coverages. As a Claims Assistant, you will also perform a variety of accounting tasks including spreadsheet reconciliation and accounts payable and receivable. You will also provide customer service, building strong relationships with insureds, brokers, carrier partners and independent adjusters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will:
- Receive and process new claims loss notices via email and phone;
- Working with the Underwriting department to discuss policy details and coverages;
- Perform a variety of accounting tasks including spreadsheet reconciliation and accounts payable and receivable;
- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions;
- Review, organize and filter incoming and outgoing correspondence;
- Perform data entry while ensuring accuracy is of utmost importance;
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external parties, including attending industry-related seminars and networking events as necessary;
- Communicate decisions and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
You’re a good fit if you have:
- Post-secondary education (Recommended);
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry is an asset;
- Claims experience is an asset;
- Has their CIP certification or has the willingness to enrol in CIP courses through the Insurance Institute;

JOB OVERVIEW:
Cansure Claims is currently looking for a Claims Telephone Adjuster/Examiner to join the team. As a Claims Telephone Adjuster/Examiner, you have excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this role, you will review adjuster reports and provide necessary oversight and instruction. You will also ensure that company claims protocols and guidelines are adhered to throughout the claims handling process, including setting and maintaining loss and expense reserves.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will:
- Telephone adjust claims for motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATV’s;
- Communicate directly with insureds, brokers and vendors in order to obtain statements, assess damage and approve repairs;
- Analyze subrogation opportunities and pursue recovery from at-fault parties;
- Examine commercial and personal property claims;
- Provide communication to handling adjusters, review adjuster’s reports and provide necessary oversight and instruction;
- Review and analyze various policy wordings including automobile, commercial and personal lines;
- Report to and make recommendations to various Underwriters when required;
- Ensure that company claims protocols and guidelines are adhered to throughout the claims handlings process including setting and maintaining loss and expense reverses;
- Liaise with Insureds, Underwriters, Brokers and various other stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
You’re a good fit if you have:
- 2+ years of claims handling experience (Preferred);
- CIP designation or currently enrolled in the CIP Program;
- Post-secondary education (Preferred);

Senior Solutions Architect – NetSuite Developer
INTRODUCTION
The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for managing the transformation of a complex NetSuite instance into an Enterprise platform. As part of this program, we will be converting multiple systems and products into the Enterprise NetSuite platform. As a Solutions Architect, this individual will be working with executive leadership and developers, providing the bridge between stakeholders and technical resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Implementation
- Understand the art of possibilities in NetSuite to design and architect business solutions
- Provide leadership and help to scope, gauge, and deliver an Enterprise NetSuite program
- Work with project team to assess client needs, develop solutions and implement them to client satisfaction
- Facilitate and optimize business processes and infrastructure solutions
- Identify and validate in and out of scope requirements and translate into NetSuite solutioning
